Ultimate cruiser?

Released in September of 2002, the BA Ford Falcon is surely one of the best and most iconic iterations ever to bare the famous moniker.

Replacing the AU Falcon, the BA was a distinctly different car compared to its predecessor, thanks to Ford Australia spending approximately $500 million dollars on the BA’s development.

Customers could choose to have their BA Falcon in four distinct body styles; a four-door sedan, five-door wagon, two-door ute and a two-door cab chassis.

Slotted under the BA’s bonnet was a number of different motors that included the prolific ‘Barra’ 4.0lt inline six-cylinder that could be had in either naturally aspirated or turbocharged guise and the venerable 5.4lt V8.

The power from these engines was sent to the BA’s rear wheels via either a five or six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

This particular BA is a 2005 Fairmont four-door sedan and comes equipped with the 5.4lt bent-eight motor and four-speed automatic transmission.

According to the seller, the Fairmont has travelled a low and original 67,000 kilometres from new and is in absolutely immaculate condition.

The seller adds that the vehicle has a full Ford service history from new and surely has to be a future classic.

The BA Fairmont is $16,500 and anyone interested in this Blue Oval banger can view the full listing here.
