1981 Holden Commodore VH – Today’s Aussie Tempter
Back in black
Essentially a facelift model, and released in October of 1981, the VH Commodore succeeded the outgoing VC, and stayed in production until February of 1984.
Five engines were available: the 1.9lt Starfire four, 2.85lt and 3.3lt sixes, plus 4.2 and 5.0lt V8s.
A three-speed auto or four-speed manuals (there were three variants) were the usual transmissions, though a five-speed manual was available on the two smaller powerplants.
Customers were able to choose between two body styles for the VH: a four-door sedan and a five-door station wagon.
This example is a 1981 model sedan and comes equipped with the 2.85lt inline six-cylinder and the five-speed manual transmission.
According to the seller, the Commodore has travelled an original 139,278 kilometres from new.
The VH is being sold by Lloyds Auctioneers and anyone keen to have a bid can do so right here.
