A lot of time and money spent on this.

The owner descibes this VK Berlina as HDT improved, though the Group 3 kit is a retrofit after it left HDT.

Evidently it spent much of its life in storage and has had a recent mechanical makover that ran into several thousand dollars.

Also, it claims new suspension all round and a few other goodies.

Specs include the 5.0lt V8 and an auto transmission, plus the trademark HDT wheels.

We're seeing genuine VK Blue Meanies heading into the $200k territory so, in the light of that, the $40k being asked for this HDT variant seems like it deserves consideration.

Early HDT and Brock cars are certainly very much on the collector radar and a whole support industry has grown up supplying bits for both genuine and tribute cars. One of them is of course is HDT itself.

This VK is located in the Gold Coast hinterland in Queensland.
