Big power!

The HT Holden Monaro is the second iteration of the first generation of one of Australia’s greatest muscle cars.

Released in June of 1969, the HT replaced the outgoing HK Monaro and stayed in production until July 1970.

The HK brought with it both aesthetic and mechanical changes that included a revised front grille, redesigned taillights and the introduction of the Chevy 350 V8 and GTS 350 moniker which, for the first time, could be had with an automatic gearbox.

The Monaro derived its power from a range of motors that included a 3.0lt inline six-cylinder and a 4.1lt, 5.0lt or aforementioned 5.7lt V8.

The shove from these motors was sent to the HTs rear wheels via either a two or three-speed automatic or a three or four-speed manual transmission.

This particular HT Monaro isn’t exacly what you’d call ‘stock-as-a-rock’; in fact, this Monaro has had a fair bit of work done to it for the purpose of increased performance.

These modifications include a worked Chevy 350ci V8, new nine-inch diff, Mustang centre and Powerglide transmission.

The worked HT Monaro is $115,000 anyone interested in this Aussie muscle sleeper can view the full listing here
