The BA Ford Falcon is the second iteration of the sixth generation of arguably Australia’s greatest automotive moniker.

Released in September of 2002, the BA replaced the outgoing AU Falcon, and stayed in production until October 2005.

The BA brought with it an absolute plethora of changes compared to its predecessor, and although the BA is based loosely on the same platform as the AU, Ford spent over $500 million Aussie dollars developing the BA.

Power was derived from the venerable range of ‘Barra’ motors that comprised a naturally aspirated, 4.0lt inline six-cylinder, a turbocharged 4.0lt inline six, an LPG-powered inline six, a 5.4lt V8 and the herculean ‘Boss’ 5.4lt V8.

The oomph from these awesome motors was sent to the BAs rear wheels via either a five or six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

Customers could choose to have their BA in a number of different body styles that comprised a four-door sedan, five-door wagon, two-door ute and a two-door cab chassis.

This particular BA is a 2003 XR8 and comes equipped with the 5.4lt Boss V8 and five-speed manual transmission.

According to the seller, the vehicle has travelled an original 201,000 kilometres from new and has a full service history.

The seller adds that the BA has had a number of choice modifications made to it that include a three-inch Herrod cat-back exhaust, X-Force high flow cats, Herrod cold-air intake, genuine FPV GT-P 19-inch wheels and the car has also been lowered.

The BA is $10,990 and anyone interested in this Aussie muscle car can view the full listing here
