1969 Holden Monaro HT – Today’s Aussie Classic Tempter
Survivor Special
The HT Holden Monaro is the second iteration of the first generation of arguably Australia’s greatest muscle car.
Released in June of 1969, the HT replaced the outgoing HK Monaro, and stayed in production until July 1970.
The HK brought with it both aesthetic and mechanical changes that included the replacement of the Chevy 327ci V8 in favour of a Chevy 350ci V8, the introduction of the GTS 350, which, for the first time, could be had with an automatic transmission, a revised front grille and redesigned taillights.
Power was derived from a number of motors that included a 3.0lt inline six cylinder or a 4.1lt, 5.0lt or 5.7lt V8.
The shove from these engines was sent to the HTs rear wheels via either a two or three-speed automatic or a three or four-speed manual transmission.
This particular HT Monaro is a 1969 model finished in Oasis Green and comes equipped with the 3.0lt inline six-cylinder and four-speed manual transmission.
According to the seller, the vehicle has travelled an original 111,695 miles from new and comes with the owner’s manual and service history.
The HT Monaro is listed as ‘POA’, so, if you’re keen on this Aussie classic, check out the full listing here and get in touch with the seller.
