The crazy just got crazier

Remember Aston Martin’s bonkers new hypercar, the Valkyrie? The sci-fi looking thing that’s being jointly developed between Aston and Red Bull Advanced Technologies?

Well, that car hasn’t even been delivered to the lucky so-and-so’s who were fortunate enough to buy one, and yet the Gaydon firm’s already revealed an even more insane, ballistic, track-only version of the Valkyrie, and they’re calling it the AMR Pro.

Details are pretty thin on the ground currently, however we do know it’ll have the same 6.5lt, Cosworth developed V12, as well as a host of aero upgrades that’ll almost certainly make it look even more insane.

It won’t just be more mental in the looks department however, as Aston reckon that thanks to the revised aero, some pretty serious weight cutting measures, a significant engine recalibration and a host of other race craft sorcery, the AMR Pro will easily top 400km/h!

And that’s not even the crazy part.

No, the craziest thing about the new AMR Pro is that Red Bull reckon it’ll be just as quick as a current LMP1 car or F1 Car around the track!

So essentially it’s going to be as fast as the fastest cars on the face of the earth, and yet the unlike an LMP1 car or F1, any old punter will be able to get their hands on one.

Well, maybe not anyone, seeing as Aston’s only making 25 and, such is the case with every other hypercar these days, all 25 are already sold.

Aston isn’t just handing over the keys to the lucky 25 either, as that would almost certainly end badly.

Each of the owners will have to go through a rigorous driver training program that will incorporate on-track and simulator training as well as an extensive physical training protocol to make sure every single driver is physically and mentally prepared to pedal the awesome hypercar on the limit.

And, once the owners are properly prepared, they’ll be able to pedal their new toys in a series of events hosted by Aston at some of the most fabled and iconic racetracks in the world.

Deliveries of the V12-powered dream machines will start in 2020, and, although there’s no mention of price, it’d have to be close to a cool $10,000,000, seeming as the road-going Valkyrie would cost roughly $6,000,000 Aussie dollars.
