1994 Toyota Supra SZ – Today’s Sportscar Tempter
Icon from a golden era
The A80 Toyota Supra is the fourth generation of one of Japan’s most prolific sportscar monikers.
Released in April of 1993, the A80 replaced the outgoing A70 Supra, and stayed in production until August 2002.
Changes made over its predecessor were numerous, and included a completely new body and the introduction of the cult hero 2JZ inline six-cylinder motor.
The 2JZ was made available to customers in two different states; the 3.0lt naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE and the twin-turbocharged 3.0lt inline six-cylinder 2JZ-GTE.
The shove from these two famous donks was sent to the Supras rear wheels via either a five or six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
The A80 Supra was immortalised on the silver screen when it played a starring role in the 2001 film The Fast and the Furious.
This particular A80 Supra is a 1994 model and comes equipped with the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE inline-six donk and the four-speed automatic transmission.
According to the seller, the vehicle has travelled an original 71,000 kilometres from new and is in impeccable condition.
The Supra is $12,800 and anyone interested in this iconic sports coupe can view the full listing here.
