1980 E21 BMW 318i – Today’s German Tempter
Looks like a bargain!
The E21 BMW 3 Series is a range of small vehicles built by the Munich firm between 1975 and 1983.
Designed by legendary automotive designer Paul Bracq, the 3 Series range replaced the outgoing 02 Series of BMWs.
Power was derived from a range of inline four and six cylinders which came in various states of displacement.
The shove from these donks was sent to the E21s rear wheels via either a three-speed automatic or four or five-speed manual transmission.
The E21 3 Series was made available to customers in two different body styles; a two-door sedan and a two-door convertible.
The E21 was an extremely successful model for BMW, with over 1.36 million examples being sold in its eight years of production.
This particular E21 is a 1981 318i and comes equipped with the inline four-cylinder donk and five-speed manual transmission.
According to the seller, the vehicle has travelled an original 180,000 kilometres from new and runs and drives well.
The 318i is $4500 and anyone interested in this budget German classic can view the full listing here.
