Topless Muscle

The Pontiac GTO is arguably one of America’s most iconic muscle car monikers, and was built between 1964 and 1974 before Pontiac retired the GTO name.

However, Pontiac did briefly bring back the GTO between 2004 and 2006, although underneath the distinctly American badging, the 21 century GTO was actually an Aussie built Holden Monaro.

The first generation of the GTO was built from 1964 to 1967, and was essentially a hotted up version of the Pontiac Tempest.

Body styles that customers could choose from included a two-door coupe, two-door convertible or a two-door hardtop.

Power was derived from three high displacement bent-eight donks that comprised a 6.4lt, 6.5lt or 6.6lt.

The shove from these brutish power plants was sent to the GTOs rear wheels via either a three or four-speed manual or a two or three-speed automatic transmission.

This particular GTO is a ’67 convertible and comes equipped the 6.5lt V8 and three-speed automatic transmission.

According to the seller, the GTO has travelled an original 78,677 miles from new and is in immaculate condition.

The GTO is $79,990 and anyone interested in this topless V8 muscle car can view the full listing here.
