'90s Germanic luxury at its best

The Mercedes-Benz W124 is, in the eyes of many, one of the best series of automobiles ever built by the Stuttgart firm.

Produced between 1985 and 1997, the W124 was a range of mid/large size vehicles that comprised a four-door sedan, five-door wagon, two-door coupe, two-door convertible and a six-door limousine.

Assembly took place in a number of Merc’s factories including Bremen, Rastatt, Sindelfingen and Zuffenhausen.

However, the W124 was also produced in South Africa, India, Poland, Mexico, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Power came from a vast array of different engines that included petrol-powered four, six and eight cylinder motors and diesel-powered four, five and six cylinder motors, all of which were available in various sizes of displacement.

Drive from these donks was sent to the rear wheels via either a four or five-speed automatic or a four or five-speed manual transmission.

The W124 was a highly successful model for Mercedes, with over 2.5 million examples being built in its twelve-year lifespan.

This particular W124 is a ‘94 E320 Coupe and, according to the seller, the vehicle has travelled an original 248,211 kilometres from new.

The seller adds that the E320 is in awesome condition and is an Australian delivered vehicle.

The E320 Coupe is $25,000 and anyone interested in this luxurious Germanic coupe can view the full listing here
