The name’s Martin, Aston Martin

Is there a prettier car of the last two decades? We’re not sure there is. When it was first released in 2005 to compete against the likes of the 997 Porsche 911, there wasn’t a much prettier car on the planet.

No surprise then that the Vantage is still in production to this day, it’s just aged that well.

That isn’t to say it hasn’t changed much, it has, a lot! There has been many a variation on the Vantage formula over its lifespan, but one thing has always remained constant, it’s undeniably good looks.

Powerplants that have found themselves front mid-mounted under the Vantage’s svelte bonnet include a 4.3 and 4.7lt V8 and a 5.9lt V12. All these engines have been naturally aspirated and sonorous to say the least, there are professional opera singers who don’t sound as good as these donks do.

The shove from these donks has always been sent to the rear wheels of the Vantage via a number of different transmissions, most recently a dog-leg seven-speed manual.

This particular Vantage is a ’06 model with the 4.3lt V8 and six-speed manual transmission.

According to the seller, the vehicle has travelled a mere 45,610 kilometres from new and it presents in excellent condition.

The V8 Vantage is $93,888 and anyone interested in this excellent V8 sports car can view the full listing here.
