The Holden HG series was released in July of 1970 and replaced the outgoing HT series which had been in production since 1969.

The HG was a mildly face lifted update of its predecessor, and included changes such as new grilles, body accoutrements and mechanical componentry.

There were several different body styles made available to customers when the HG was released, and these included a four-door sedan, five-door station wagon, two-door coupe, two-door ute and a two-door panel van.

Engine choices for the HG were many and encompassed a 2.1lt, 2.6lt, and 3.0lt inline-six cylinder and a 4.1lt, 5.0lt and 5.7lt V8.

These donks could be mated to either a three-speed manual, four-speed manual, two-speed Powerglide automatic or a three-speed Tri-Matic automatic transmission.

In addition, the HG could be specified in a number of different models that included the Belmont, Kingswood, Premier, Brougham and Monaro.

This particular HG is a 1971 Kingswood and, according to the owner, the vehicle received a full restoration approximately ten years ago.

The seller adds that the motor is a mildly worked version of the 3.0lt inline-six Red motor and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission.

The HG Kingswood is $40,000 and anyone interested in this sweet looking Aussie classic can view the full listing here.
