1982 Mitsubishi Sigma GSR - Today's Special Tempter
Local performance pack is a rarity
All of five years back, we nominated the now very rare Mistubishi Sigma GSR as a factory special that would be worth looking out for - a proper budget classic.
These were not hugely powerful cars, but had a reputation for being decent handlers with rear wheel drive, a grunty delivery from the 2.6lt four with a five-speed manual gearbox to stir them along.
Aside from the five-speed manual, really these things were a dressed-up version of the family stablemates, with alloy wheels and different paint.
There were a few different versions of the GSR over time, which proved to be quite popular. However the survival rate has been low.
This car claims to be a one-owner with just over 34,000km on the clock which, if all that is right, would make it an exceptional find for the Mitsubishi collector.

The Vic owner is asking $7000.
