Some more of our favourite man-cave must-haves this month...

Fine Art America Framed Pics

Framed -pictures

Fine Art America is a bit of a treasure trove if you’re looking for some classy man-cave wall hangings. We could spend all day browsing through their selection of images, but we’ve settled on a pair of US muscle shots that would look wholly awesome framed and lit on the garage wall. Following up on our Bullitt news item last month, is a movie poster we’ve not seen before. We’ve all been sighing over the Pontiac GTO in Auction Action too, so this pic’s the next best thing.

Tamiya 1/10th Scale Mercedes-Benz 190E

Mercedes -benz -model

Cast your rheumy old peepers over this 1/10th scale Merc 190E 2.5-16 Evo II from Tamiya. Good isn’t it? It’s a radio-controlled replica of the 1992 Diebels-Alt sponsored Team Zakspeed car that competed in the 1992 DTM racing series in Germany. While you might not be rubbing doors at the ‘Ring, this one can be hopped-up using Tamiya accessories to make it even quicker over the ground. Top triv? The 6-spoke wheels are the same design as Celica GT-Four ‘97 Monte-Carlo. Get it at www.tamiyausa.com

'50 Cars That Changed The World' Book

Book

We like to think we’re experts on vehicle design here at Unique Cars but you only have to take one look at our dress sense to realise that most of us have the aesthetic sensibilities of an American tourist who got dressed in an unlit servo dunny. So we need all the help we can get when it comes to judging what looks good and this book is as good a start as any we’ve come across. Andrew Nahum’s ‘50 Cars That Changed The World’ has some brave and inspired choices and is the perfect primer for those who could use a few style pointers. www.amazon.com
