Aussie and Euro muscle feature at Lloyds - Video
Big line-up in Queensland classic and muscle car auction
Lloyds’ upcoming classic and muscle car auction has a wild range of gear on offer, from a range of Falcon GTs through to a BMW 3.0CSL ‘Batmobile’ racer.
Arguably the highlight of the auction is a 1969 Ford Falcon XW GT which has been owned by the same family since day one. The car presents very well with only mild refurbishment over the years. Bidding has already started and had reached $43,500 at the time of writing – expect that one to go a lot higher.
For GM fans there is a choice of Monaros, including a tidy 1970 GTS 350 auto which has seen bidding already sail past the $100,000 mark. A nicely-presented HQ GTS Monaro is also on offer, for which bidding has gone past $48,000.
Europhiles will like the BMW 1975 race car replica, set up in Le Mans livery. While the shell is a ‘Batmobile’ E9, the engine is a 24-valve S38 claiming 420hp. Set up as a competition car, it is said to be eligible for targa-style events.
The final live auction starts at mid-day (Qld time) on April 22.
