1975 351-powered Ford Coolabah – today’s oddball
Seventies style with a big V8 underneath? Perfect!
You definitely won’t come across one of these every day. The story goes that just eight of these motorhomes were built for Ford Australia execs in the mid-seventies, by Centurion/Re-Car.
Based on a D-series truck chassis, it runs a Cleveland 351 V8 and the owner humbly suggests it has plenty of passing power!
Apparently it sleeps up to six, and offers downright luxurious accommodation for a couple.
The owner says it’s had a huge amount of refurbishment done to it over recent years and is ready for RWC and registration.
We’ve tracked it down and should soon have a mini-feature on it.
Meanwhile it’s on the market in Vic with an asking price of $60,000.
