Classic cars, sprints, hillclimbs and a fair bit more is on offer at Geelong this weekend.

The annual Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is on in Geelong, Victoria next weekend from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 November. Best-known for its famous quarter-mile sprint along the water front, this year the Geelong Revival is celebrating 60 years since the original Geelong Sprint event was established in 1956.

These days, the three-day event is a lot more than just a spirited display of acceleration. There’s a city cruise on Friday evening and on the weekend, more than 600 vintage and classic cars are expected to be on show, giving cars enthusiasts – hey, that’s us! - plenty to drool over.

This new-for-2016 Geelong Revival Hill Climb will have dozens of classic competition cars scrabbling for class honours over its tight ‘n’ bright new course. Our own Glenn Torrens will be there in his bright yellow Beetle – drop in say g’day.

The Hill Climb adds an extra chunk of racing action to the Revival’s already awesome classic car show which includes displays of vintage caravans and boats (and planes from time to time!) all with a back-beat of the life-stylish vibe the event is respected for.

The Geelong Revival will be celebrating another birthday too: 100 years of BMW with a display of heritage cars from one of the world’s greatest motoring brands thanks to the BMW Car Club of Victoria.
