Tuesday tempter: Triumph Dolomite Sprint project car

It's not often you'll see a 1976 Triumph Dolomite Sprint on offer, least of all at a couple of grand.

The owner freely admits it's in bits and they have neither the skills or time to finish it off, so it's been in storage a while.

The Dolomite Sprint was the performance flagship of the Dolomite range, intended to take on the likes of BMW's 2002 series.

It's main claim to fame was the 16-valve head for the 2-litre straight four powerplant.

The car had a pretty decent reputation as a good-handling bit of kit that was fun to drive.

So, if you had the workshop skills, this one could be a bit tempting.
