Big year for historic Sandown
Two big anniversaries for massive race meeting
This year's Historic Sandown meeting (Nov 4-6) is celebrating two big anniversaries: 25 years for the meeting itself, and 50 years since Sir Jack Brabham won his third and last F1 world championship.
Offering good access to the paddock, it's a good meeting to see a wild and woolly bunch of machinery, plus their drivers. What's that line about owners changing over time to resemble their toys?
Compared to a lot of other options, the ticketing is good value. Friday (a practice day is free, while adult tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $35 and $45, including a program. You can get a weekend pass for $70.
Unique Cars magazine will be there - look for the report and gallery after the event.
