Motors & Masterpieces tickets on sale now!

Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Motors & Masterpieces car show.

From the same curation team that brought you Motorclassica, Motors & Masterpieces is set to be the pre-eminent event on the Australian automotive calendar.

Drawing together hundreds of exquisite machines from across the motoring spectrum, the festival is set to chart the history of the car and motorcycle from the dawn of the automotive age to the future.

New Home

The Melbourne Showgrounds’ space affords Motors & Masterpieces the opportunity to broaden its horizons, with specially curated themes paving the way for an all-new concept for the auto festival.

Following in the footsteps of many well-known European shows, vehicles will be split along differing theme lines, with each dedicated display area featuring relevant bespoke entertainment and sideshows.

Ten themes for 2024

La Dolce Vita
Synonymous with the carefree lifestyle and culture of post-war Italy, style and flair meet automotive passion, showcasing engineering prowess, crafted by Italy’s esteemed design houses, this is the home for all the legendary Italian cars of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

Examples of featured brands: Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lamborghini, Lancia and beyond.

Swinging London 
Celebrating the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s of the British motoring revolution. The cultural change that extended from music

and fashion into the
automotive world.

Examples of featured brands: Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lotus, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Jensen and more.

California Dreaming
The exuberant post-war era of the 1950s through to the ’70s of big, brash American iron.

Examples of featured brands: Chevrolet, Ford, Cadillac, Plymouth, Pontiac, Dodge, Chrysler and more.

Tokyo Lights
Japan is the source of an ever-growing range of great performance classics, with a huge following amongst the younger generations.

Examples of featured brands: Nissan/Datsun, Toyota, Honda, Mazda and more. 

Great Southern Land
A celebration of Australian motoring heritage, and the best examples of our homegrown manufacturing.

Examples of featured brands: Holden, Ford, Chrysler, Leyland and more. 

Golden Age 
Taking a stroll down memory lane, this exhibit features the early automotive pioneers, the golden age of the coach builders and amazing craftsmanship. This is the home for all the cars built up to 1930.

Examples of featured brands: Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lagonda, Lancia, Hispano-Suiza, Isotta Fraschini, Mercedes, Packard and Cadillac are just a few of the many brands representing this period.

High Society
Incorporates the 1930s through the ’40s, a period when automotive engineering and design took massive strides, and the motor car truly came of age.

Examples of featured brands: Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Lancia, Cord, Delage, Delahaye, Auburn, Mercedes, Auto Union, Auburn, Talbot are some of the most prominent brands of this period.

Continental Classics
A focus on the best of non-Italian continental Europe, from the ’50s to the ’80s, this category celebrates the vehicles that defined modern automotive performance and design.

Examples of featured brands: Mercedes, Porsche, BMW,
Iso, Facel Vega, Pegaso and others.

Monaco Glitz
The home of the modern supercar and hypercar, where cutting-edge design meets mind-blowing performance.

Example of featured brands: Ferrari, Bugatti, McLaren, Lamborghini, Koenigsegg.

Chequered Flag
The finest of the competition breed, encompassing a wide cross-section of champions from the track, from classic Grand Prix machines to modern endurance racers.

Examples: Australian Grand Prix Heritage, Bathurst Legends, Le Mans pedigree and beyond.

Awards
The awards on offer include the coveted Best of Show, as well as for the various Class winners, a Preservation Award, a Young Achiever Award for owners under 30, the Spirit of Motors & Masterpieces Award, and the highly sought-after People’s Choice Award.

The Concours classes will uphold a cut-off date of 1993 for eligibility, ensuring a showcase of timeless classics. The Monaco Glitz display will not be bound by the age cutoff, and as such will be excluded from the Best of Show Award.
