2021 Market Review - Morris Mini/Cooper S/Rover Mini
Nobody has and nobody ever will build a more significant small car than BMC’s Mini. The original appeared in 1959 and finally ceased production 40 years later, with lots of survivors from all eras.
Most valuable in today’s market is the Cooper S which was assembled in Australia from 1965-71 and routinely sells for more than $50,000. The 998cc Cooper costs $20,000 less and a basic Mini 850 can also reach $30,000.

Last-gasp Rover Minis weren’t sold new to Australia, so owning one means taking a chance on something that spent years on the icy roads of Britain or Japan before being exported.
