Mason Gray Strange Auctioneers selling off the Halstead Collection

South Australian auction house tasked with selling off an eclectic mix of classics

Mason Gray Strange Auctioneers have been given the task of auctioning the Halstead Collection comprising a huge and eclectic variety of muscle cars, hot rods, classics including a Mercury jetboat and even a 1977 Ford LTD hearse.

There are also spare parts, motoring memorabilia, garage signs and assorted treasures of bygone eras. To be held on Tuesday October 15th at 370-378 Torrens Road in the Adelaide suburb of Kilkenny, it offers something for everyone.

Highlights include an original and what appears to be unmolested XR Falcon with a mere 19,366 miles on the clock that is ripe for a restoration to bring it back to its former glory. Another smart looking Henry is an XY GS wagon, finished in blue with a 351ci under the bonnet and showing 26,361 miles on the odometer.

An XB GS Hardtop in tango red and a 351 should also generate plenty of interest, alongside some other oddities including a 1978 Jaguar XJ6 Series II with 67,854kms indicated, and a 1951 Morris Minor Utility with just 35,321 miles indicated.

The collection will be auctioned next week on Tuesday October 15.

Check out all available listings at mgs.net.au – at the very least you’ll find some cool stuff to decorate the shed!
