Lloyds June 17 Auction has delivered the goods

The Classic, Muscle and Barn Finds auction has got some absolute rippers

Lloyds has some excellent and unique metal up for grabs at their upcoming Classic, Muscle and Barn Finds auction this Saturday June 17.

Here are some of our favourite picks:

1981 Porsche 930 Turbo

1981 Porsche 930 Turbo

Is there a more iconic Porsche than the 930 Turbo? We’re not so sure there is, what with its flared wheel arches, whale- tail rear spoiler, dished fuchs wheels and stonking 3.3l air-cooled, turbocharged flat-6. ‘Turbo’ is an icon for the Stuttgart firm and the 930 is genesis, and arguably the reason why everything from performance cars to hairdryers had turbo plastered all over them in the ‘80s.

This particular 930 was imported into Australia in 2003 and appears to be in good condition with an incredibly low 149,294 kilometres on the odometer. The combination of black paint and contrasting cream leather interior is also wonderfully era appropriate.

2004 Bentley Continental GT

2004 Bentley Continental GT

The Continental GT was an incredibly important car for Bentley, as it was the first car the manufacturer from Crewe had produced since being purchased by the Volkswagen Group. It was also the first Bentley in the company’s history to use mass-production manufacturing techniques. Power came from a 6.0l, twin-turbocharged W12 engine that produced a whopping 420kW and 650Nm. This monolithic shove was sent to all four wheels via a ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox. This meant that despite the Continental weighing a healthy 2350 kilograms, the GT could sprint from naught to 100km/h in a mere 4.8 seconds and top out at a blistering 318km/h.

This particular GT is a 2004 model in black with contrasting beige interior. It has a 125,343 kilometres on the clock and enough luxury and tech to make a 5-star hotel blush.

1985 S120 Toyota Crown

1985 S120 Toyota Crown

Last but certainly not least is this quite frankly opulent S120 Toyota Crown. Produced from 1983-1987, the S120 was the seventh generation of Toyota Crown, and succeeded the S110 model. There were a myriad of engine choices available including naturally aspirated inline-6s, turbocharged inline-6s and turbo-diesel inline-4s.

This particular one isn’t just any old Toyota Crown though; this one is a Royal Saloon. Think of it as a Mercedes-Benz S-Class with a shedload of beige velour instead of leather. The Royal saloon gets standard equipment such as dual-zone climate control, AM/FM cassette with 6-speakers, CD player, separate climate and stereo control buttons in the rear armrests, parcel shelf mounted refrigerator, automatic headlights… You get the picture; it is a luxo-tech bonanza. And this one’s only done 70,055 kilometres from new!

There are plenty more excellent cars in this auction and you can check out the full catalogue here.
