Leyland P76/Moke 1971-1983 – 2022 Market Review

2022 Aussie Family & Sports Car Market Review - Leyland P76/Moke 1971-1983

Emperors strolling naked down the street have nothing on people who pay $50,000 for a Moke and imagine they own an icon.

The Moke has its attributes for sure; cheap panel repairs and easy access among them but $25-30,000 should buy a very good 1098cc version, with the Californian up to $10,000 more.

Other local 1970s Minis, including the very rare 1275LS, remain below $30,000. Leyland’s nemesis, the P76, is a year out from its 50th birthday yet remains controversial and relatively cheap.

Six-cylinder cars rarely exceed $10,000, with four-speed V8s usually managing $20K and the limited-build Targa Florios heading for $30,000. Expect to spend $80,000+ should you happen upon a two-door Force 7.

P76 Six $7000 (1)
P76 V8 $19,985 (6)
P76 Targa Florio $26,990 (2)
Moke 1971-80 $35,370 (10)
Moke Californian 1978-81 $45,215 (17)
Clubman S/Clubman Van $21,345 (21)
1275LS $28,250 (4)
