Kingswood, Porsche T, Big Block – Gearbox

Gearbox

1. IT’S THE KINGSWOOD

Holden’s HQ model was one of its most popular and over its three year life from July 15th 1971, 485,650 were sold. The most popular of all was the Kingswood, which also spawned a TV show, Kingswood Country. Now you can get your mitts on a beautifully detailed 1:24 scale HQ Holden Kingswood sedan in white with tan trim, just like the General used to make. This one has opening doors, bonnet and boot and I’d bet the shut lines and panel gaps are better that the real ones.

2. PORSCHE T

If there’s a Porsche nut in your midst, here’s the perfect gift for them for that special occasion. This Porsche 356 Speedster T-shirt is as sharp looking as the car itself. The Italian T-shirt is available in a range of sizes, printed on navy or white and made from 100 per cent certified organic cotton, so it keeps an excellent fit. Taking pride of place on the front is one of the German marques earliest specials in three bright colours that can’t be missed.

4. THREE BUCKET TRICK

Everyone wants their car to look its best all the time and Bowdens make it easy to do with its three-bucket wash, rinse and wheels kit. There’s a bucket for wash suds and water, another for rinsing off, and a third to tackle the wheels. But wait… there’s more! Three Great Barrier Thingys sit in the bucket bases preventing water swirling and stirring up all the nasties you’ve just spent hours removing from your pride and joy. Best of all, everything in the kit is Aussie made!

5. HINGED

Given today’s world of use once and throw away, it seems smarter to produce products for multiple use over a long time frame, like we used to. Like these right-side Holden bonnet hinges for HQ to WB Holdens and LH to UC Toranas. That spans a 13-year life from 1971 to 1984. Clever. Now if you need such an item, or indeed one for the left side of the bonnet too, the mob at All Muscle Car Parts have these high-quality brand-new reproduction parts in stock for just $155 each and can ship them to you.
