Jeep 1942-1999 – 2021 Market Review

2021 Market Review - Jeep 1942-1999

Given the mega-money being paid for early Land-Rovers and Landcruisers, it is fair to expect wartime Jeeps might also be attracting collector interest and dollars.

Early ones still rarely top $35,000 so if you want rugged looks without the cost, then look into a CJ (Civilian) series. These became popular from the 1950s and sold locally until 1985 when the CJ8 version was discontinued. $20,000 will currently buy a very good one.

Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer V8 wagons were also withdrawn at around the same time and can cost $25,000, but they are difficult to find.

For an off-road fun car at realistic money, give the 1990s Wrangler a look because they cost just $8000-12,000 in manual or automatic form.

GPW 1942-53 $37,335 [3]

CJ-5-CJ-8 $19,715 [6]

Cherokee/Wagoneer 1977-85 $16,000 [2]

Wrangler 1996-03 $12,465 [18]
