2021 Market Review - Jaguar Saloons 1987-2008
Jaguars from this era are plentiful, cheap and hopefully suffer fewer durability issues than earlier cars.
The 4.0-litre V8 overcame early problems becoming a landmark engine for the cars it powers, (X308 and S Type) that sell in good condition for $10-15,000.
Early X300s with 3.2 and 4.0-litre six-cylinder engines are durable as well and values are stable in the $8000-12,000 range. Not long ago XJ40s from the 1980s were suffering serious apathy, however most of the neglected cars are gone and good ones bring similar money to an X300.
Supercharged X300, X308 and S Types sell generally in the $20-30K range, or for similar money you can get a more modern XF.
XJ6/Sovereign 3.6 1987-89 $7500 [9]
