Jaguar Saloon/Coupe 1969-1986 – 2021 Market Review

2021 Market Review - Jaguar Saloon/Coupe 1969-1986

It is hard to believe that the XJ6 appeared more than 50 years ago. Early Series 1 cars can match the handling and performance of newer models and remain significantly undervalued.

Some XJ6s will reach $25,000 but the majority need work and are priced below $12,000. Luxurious S3 Sovereigns at around $20,000 offer serious value. V12 sedans remain less expensive than they should be and $25,000 is minimal money for a car this significant.

Some V12s during the 1990s had their authenticity compromised by V8 conversion and these are now worth less than untouched cars.

Buyers only recently have discovered the rare and beautiful XJC, with six-cylinder versions now realistically bringing $50,000.

XJ6 Series 1 $10,760 [5]

XJ6 Series 2-3 $12,185 [19]

Sovereign Ser. 3 $14,020 [9]

XJ12 Ser.1-3 $22,445 [8]

XJ V8 Conversion $14.900 [5]

XJC 4.2 $55,000 [2]

XJC 5.3 $70,000 [1]
