HSV Statesman/Senator/Grange 1992-2008 – 2020 Market Review

2020 Market Review - HSV Statesman/Senator/Grange 1992-2008

These ultra-luxurious Holdens when new were among the most expensive cars ever built in Australia, yet the used market has treated them with contempt. Some owners lost so much on a Grange or Senator they vowed never to own another HSV.

Even the Senator 300, featuring HSV’s earth-shaking 300kW engine and costing $99,000 new, was by 2011 worth less than $30,000. Even today the Senator is cheaper than a less luxurious GTS300.

Versions built after 2005 remain slightly less expensive than older and less common VQ-VTIIs. 5000i versions of the Statesman have become very scarce and VQ Senators doubled their prices since 2016.
