Tough to sell when new, these cars are now very much in demand.
HSV Group A/GTS 1988-2002
Any dealers who, during the late 1980s, despaired of ever shifting the last of HSVs cruelly-nicknamed plastic pig VL Group As will be astonished at the $100,000+ now being achieved.
Similarly the VN Group A which had its run cut short by poor sales and was hard to sell when new, is now matching or exceeding its original $69,000 list price.
Asking prices for scarce VP GTS models are up as well but hardly any reach the market and its not easy to be definitive on values.
We have more confidence in the $20-25,000 being achieved by VR-VT 5.0-litre cars and the very reasonable $30-35,000 being paid for 300kW VTII and VXs.
Scarcity is also driving values for Yellow Peril VS GTS-Rs, which are headed for $200K.
