HSV Coupe/W427 2002-2009
Action at the top end of the HSV market is likely to intensify.
As the man in the insurance ad says ‘the Coupe 4 is rare and very special’ and undervalued in a market just starting to realise how special it is.
Expect soon to pay $100,000+ for an outstanding Coupe 4.
Equally rare with only 139 built is the W427, dwarfed of course by the Monaro-bodied HRT427 of which only two exist.
These rank with the GTHO Phase 4 as an ‘if only’ dream-car and pricing one is impossible.
Low-kilometre W427 sedans currently sell at $140-150,000.
Plenty of GTO and GTS coupes occupy a busy market at $35-50,000 – we saw one on offer at $90K – and prices are yet to peak.
