Holden VK Commodore Berlina – Todays Project Tempter

Comes with new 355 Stroker, some assembly required: good body, HDT Aeros, fresh suspension

After a project? This VK Berlina Wagon looks like a fun one!

It’s all there, and comes with a brand new 355 Stroker: some assembly required.

Being an unfinished project, the body is a rolling shell right now: but is good and straight, with fresh suspension and cornered by genuine HDT Aero wheels.

The blue cloth interior is good, and is where you’ll find all the remaining bits such as the headlights.

The VK Wagon was originally delivered as a six-cylinder, but has since been lost. The 355, however, is brand new and has had the works thrown at it: Scat crank and rods, Howard rockers, Crow cam, VN SS heads and balanced assembly. There’s reportedly at least $8,000 in the engine alone.

Now for the bits you’ll need to find to finish off this big V8 wagon build: transmission and engine ancillaries; including carburettor, ignition, manifold, headers and sump.

Shouldn’t be too hard; if you feel like you’re up for the challenge, the car and engine are on sale for $10,000.

It’s currently unregistered, so you’ll need a towie or a trailer to pick it up here in Melbourne.
