1975 Holden Torana SLR 5000

The first V8 Torana got hearts racing in 1974 and gave Peter Brock his first touring car title. This genuine 1975 LH model, with original matching numbers and original interior stands out for sporting an auto transmission bolted to the 308 V8. It wears period Aunger ‘hotwire’ wheels and Holden L34 flare kit and has just 19,500 kms on the odometer.
1972 De Tomaso Mangusta by Ghia

In the 1960’s Argentinian racing driver Alejandro de Tomaso took on Ferrari and Lamborghini with his range of sportscars. One of the rarer models is the Mangusta, powered by a 289ci Ford and five-speed ZF gearbox it had a top speed of 250 k/mh. Only 401 were made and it’s believed only 250 survive worldwide. This one was totally restored in 1997 and engine freshened to give it 350hp. It retains the Ferrero wood and leather steering wheel, original Campagnolo spare wheel, owner’s manual, warranty card, sales brochure, parts catalogue, original keys and fob.

HSV’s final shot after 30 years of turning fleet Holdens into fleet Holdens. While demand is strong now, these rocketships will cost a king’s ransom in years to come. This example has just 38 delivery km on the clock so the 474kW V8 in this road-going V8 Supercar hasn’t even lit its tyres in anger. This example has a low build number, a numbered car cover, black sunroof and vitally, a blank log book. The winning bidder received, thrown in, an unrestored FX Holden once owned by Dick Johnson.

Of all the early 911 Porsches to have, this is it, – the 2.2-litre 911S. With 180hp and a top speed of 230km/h. This one needs a full resto, but the basics are there. It was part of a large Italian collection and was sitting dormant in a shed for many years. A great opportunity to bring one of Porsche’s finest back to life.
1966 Shelby 427 Cobra ‘Semi Competition’

The Shelby Cobra was designed to be driven hard and fast. While most were, some like chassis #CSX 3040 led a quieter life. That was before West Aussie Peter Briggs got his hands on it in 1980 and displayed it in his WA museum. He gave it a gallop in the 1992 Targa Tasmania and it appeared in Motor in 1992 and Wheels in 1996. It was sold in 2001, went stateside and underwent a resto. It’s described as one of the best in the world today.
