2022 Aussie Family & Sports Car Market Review - Holden Statesman/Caprice VQ-WM/Crewman Cross 8
Lumping all of the long-wheelbase Commodores together certainly delivers an interesting mix.
Early independent-rear VQ-VP sedans are finally beginning to bring decent money and over $25,000 is possible where a car is exceptional. Those increases are helping drag other 1990s Statesman and Caprice models to the tall side of $10,000 too, although it usually requires a V8 engine.
WH-WM versions occupy a narrow price range and only cars in outstanding condition exceed $20,000. Holden’s attempts at a home-grown All-Wheel Drive weren’t initially appreciated but enthusiast demand for V8 SS versions of the Crewman and the 5.7-litre Adventra is helping price growth.
VQ-VP Statesman/Caprice $17,680 (10)
VR-VS Statesman/Caprice $12,940 (12)
WH-WK Statesman/Caprice $12,875 (41)
WL-WM Statesman/Caprice $16,600 (28)
VYII-VZ Crewman SS $23,460 (14)
Adventra V8 $12,200 (18)
