Huge price jumps have lead to an uncertain market
Holden Monaro HK-HG V8/GTS327/GTS350
What a difference a year can make.
Early in 2016 we saw hardly any GTS327 or 350 Monaros in the market and a top asking prices were $100-120,000.
Then someone turned on the money tap, unleashing frenzied auction bidding and record selling prices [$302,000 for a 327, $310,000 for an HT350] plus several others at $200-250,000.
Can those values be sustained?
The answer depends on the quality of cars and buyer motivation and that?s unknown.
Price pressures of this kind have knock-on effects, so the money being sought for other early Monaros has jumped as well.
Non-authentic cars [most commonly six-cylinder HK-HGs repowered] have been advertised at higher prices than genuine ones so caution is advisable.
HK-HG Monaro GTS V8 $93,500 [2]
HK-HG V8 (Non-Orig) $98,725 [9]
HK Monaro GTS327 $248,000 [4]
HT Monaro GTS350 $240,715 [7]
HG Monaro GTS350 $220,000 [2]
