2022 Market Review - Holden HQ-HZ Kingswood/Premier
It was said back when people began turning HQ Holdens into bash and crash track cars the day would come when they would be in short supply. That day has arrived. Good, six-cylinder HQs have become hard to find and values, especially for Premiers, have doubled since 2018.
Any version with a factory V8 will attract extreme interest, with HQ and HZ Premiers likely to generate more money than an HJ or HX. V8 Kingswoods are popular with people who modify cars and our average reflects in part the asking prices for cars with money invested in body and mechanical upgrades.
Conversely, the prices sought for six-cylinder Premiers often didn’t reflect the real-world values of good cars.
HQ Six $36,255 (11)
HJ-HZ Six $25,975 (20)
HQ-HZ V8 $49,200 (13)
HQ-HZ Premier Six $27,150 (10)
HQ Premier V8 $50,980 (6)
HJ-HZ Premier V8 $43,220 (16)
