Reportedly a barn find with 58,000 miles: new brakes, booster, clutch and battery
Five years after the ground-breaking 48-215, Holden introduced the FJ as a minor facelift in 1953.
The vertical grille gained an elegant redesign, replaced by a detailed fin rendition, as well as new hubcaps and various alterations to brightwork and body trims.
Much of the mechanical underpinnings were carried over from the 48-215; including the good-riding suspension, and rugged drivetrain offering low-maintenance and value.
There were waiting lists at every dealer, with the FJ proving hugely popular.
The FJ sedan here presents in standard trim.
It’s reportedly a barn find according to the seller, with an indicated 58,000 miles on it.
Details are light within the listing, but it’s been treated to new brakes with a VH44 brake booster, new clutch and battery, reconditioned radiator and five near new tyres.
The car is currently registered on club plates, and is based in Victoria.
If anyone’s after a true-blue Aussie survivor, this might be worth investigating!
The car is on offer for $25,000, and you can check out the full listing here!
