Customisers get some glory
Harley-Davidson has announced a competition for customisers among the V-twin faithful, based around the Breakout cruiser. For those not in the know, the company describes the model as a modern-day muscular chopper, which pretty well covers it.
Based around a fuel-injected 114ci (1868cc) Milwaukee Eight powerplant, it runs a six-speed transmission in a Softail-based chassis and prices start around the $37,000 mark.
The competition runs through six rounds of 10 entrants each, culminating in a final that concludes in December. In addition to a prize pack, the winner scores a feature in Heavy Duty magazine.
