Genuine 1988 Holden VL Turbo Interceptor up for grabs

It doesn’t get much better than this

Arguably the most desirable of VL Commodores, the turbo BT1 interceptor truly is a bit of a unicorn.

Originally commissioned by the Victorian Police, the interceptor version of the VL turbo was distinct from its civilian counterparts, thanks to a larger fuel tank and police issue, striking yellow paint job.

The iconic RB30 Nissan engine found in VLs was given a bit more shove thanks to a Garrett T03 turbo, and the results were impressive, even by today’s standards. The engine produced 150kW, which propelled the VL from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 and on to a top speed of 220 km/h.

This particular VL Turbo Interceptor is currently up for auction at Grays online in Melbourne, and from what we can tell in the photos, looks to be in exceptional and original condition, apart from a set of Simmons wheels.
