Inside this month's Unique Cars gearbox

1. Falcon XC Sundowner model

falcon-sundowner-model.jpg

While Holden was the first to turn its delivery van into something far more fun with the Sandman, both Chrysler and Ford quickly followed with the Drifter and Sundowner. Advertising of the three had young couples smiling amorously at each other ready for horizontal calisthenics behind the seats. Classiccarlectables brings back those great times with a superb rendition of the Falcon XC Sundowner panel van in 1:18 scale. Expect to pay around $300 from classiccarlectables.com.au

In between racing his brutal Formula 5000s and Channel 9 Chevy Camaro, racing legend Bartlett operated a successful workshop in Sydney fettling fine motors for the well-heeled. He also built some very special cars including the Streety HQ. The tees cost $40 and you can grab one at shop.whichcar.com.au
