Forty-nine races over three days were a bonus for those attending this year's Phillip Island Classic Historic meeting

The cars were the stars of this year’s 26th annual Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport, with a huge entry of 512 in less than buoyant financial times emphasising the depth of the event’s roots in the Australian Historic racing scene.
Entrants for the 49 separate events included cars driven by household grid-giants of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, with their proud new custodians at the wheel.
