FPV F6 Typhoon – today’s tempter

Aussie turbo six

Based on the Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo, the FPV F6 Typhoon was produced from 2004 until 2014. Adding to the already impressive performance of the XR6 Turbo, the Typhoon received a modified FPV airbox, stronger conrods, larger intercooler, high flow and higher capacity fuel pump, plus a bigger wastegate on the turbo.

Compared to its Holden counterpart, FPV Falcons were understated in their appearance. In 2005 a six-speed ZF auto and bigger Brembo brakes were fitted and with the BF II Falcon update the Typhoon received cosmetic upgrades.
