Long way from home
You can only imagine how this ended up happening – somehow a 1976 Ford Falcon XB hardtop has wound up for sale on Craigslist, in New York state.
It’s clearly a half-done project, with a new 351 V8 listed as part of the package, a four-speed Toploader transmission plus an aftermarket Mad Max body kit of unknown heritage.
It’s also been left as right-hand-drive, probably to remian faithful to the movie car.
However you wonder what happened. Someone got all enthusiastic and bought the bits then ran out of money? Or time? Or perhaps there was a partnership break-up?
In any case, the seller is clearly in no mood to give the thing away, insisting it’s priced at US$31,200 firm. That equates to just under $46,000 in local currency.
