Early Mustang has appeal
The original and the best? While lots of folk prefer the slightly later fastback shape, which we admit looks pretty stunning, there is a lot of appeal in an early Mustang with the original notchback body.
This example lays claim to an A-code 289 V8 powerplant, which means it’s running the four-barrell carburettor. Back in the day that meant it claimed 225 horses and 304ft-lb of torque (168kW and 413Nm).
Of course red looks the goods and the choice of wheels works, too. The seller says it also has the slightly upmarket Pony interior.
In good shape, these are a super-easy classic to live with, with simple and robust mechanicals.
