Always driven carefully
At a development cost of $700 million and the first Falcon to utilise wind tunnel testing, the EA series was produced from 1988 to 1991.
The first model of the fifth-generation Falcon was also the basis of the NA-Fairlane and DA-LTD that used the Falcon and Fairmont station wagon platforms, with both debuting June 1988.
For the 1990 year model Ford revised the Fairlane and LTD, branded them NAII and DAII and added a four-speed automatic transmission.
The EA wagon platform was, after modification, used as hearses like the one here. Given it has done 149,000 kilometres – most of them slowly – we also imagine it has carried a lot of caskets. Said to be in good order it’s priced at $28,900 and would be an interesting buy for a Ford collector or equally a history buff. The details are here.
