Shannons’ Melbourne Late Summer Classic Auction, which takes place on Monday, the 19 of February, has got a trio of excellent Ford Falcon GTs heading to the auction block, and we can’t decide which one we like most.

For a start, there’s this stunning 1969 Ford Falcon XT finished in GT Gold with a contrasting black vinyl interior, and it comes equipped with a thumping 5.0lt V8 and four-speed manual transmission.
According to Shannons, this XT GT is one of just two examples ever produced in this configuration and presents in good, honest condition.
Shannons add that the Falcon was resprayed and re-upholstered in the mid-1990s and, more recently, it was fitted with a new clutch.
The XT GT is currently registered in Victoria on club registration plates and Shannons reckon that it will sell for $60,000 – $80,000.

Next up is this ace 1973 Ford Falcon XA GT finished in Yellow Fire with a contrasting black vinyl and cloth interior.
Under the bonnet is Ford’s venerable 351ci Cleveland bent-eight motor and it’s mated to the three-speed automatic transmission, so it’s perfect for cruising.
Shannons say that the XA GT is highly optioned and comes equipped with factory power steering, a wind back Golde sunroof, integrated air-conditioning and power windows.
In addition, this 45-year old car has a remarkably low mileage of just 48,955 miles as indicated by the vehicles odometer.
The XA GT has no reserve and Shannons has put an estimate of $50,000 – $70,000 on this sweet Aussie muscle car.

Last but not least, Shannons is offering up this mint 2007 Ford BF Cobra GT in Winter White & Blue with complimenting Charcoal Flake interior.
Powered by a monstrous 5.4lt V8 and paired with a snappy six-speed ZF automatic transmission, this surely has to be one of the nicest looking Falcons of the modern era.
These BF GT Cobras are also quite rare, as just 400 were ever produced, with this particular example being build number 221.
Shannons reckon that this Cobra GT would be perfect for a collector, stating that the vehicle is completely stock, comes equipped with its original books and has travelled a stupidly low 12,300 kilometres from new.
Shannons have put an estimate of $45,000 – $55,000 on the BF Cobra GT, and we reckon this could be a solid investment for the future.
