Family Ford is now a luxury item.
Ford Falcon/Fairmont V8 1967-72
Once upon a time Fords like these served as family transport or goods-carrying workhorses and were dumped when rust took hold. Not anymore.
Even in worn and corroded condition, early V8 Falcons and Fairmonts are bringing big money and are absolutely worth saving.
Their big advantage is availability of reproduction replacement parts which considerably reduce restoration costs.
In excellent, original condition a 351-engined XY Fairmont will start at $50,000 and outstanding cars now make $70K.
V8 utes aren’t difficult to find and prices remain reasonable.
Finding a V8 van in excellent original or restored condition has however become very difficult.
