2021 Market Review - Ford Falcon XA-EL GT/V8 Hardtop/Landau
If the auction bidders are right, a Falcon Hardtop full of rust and tiger snakes might be worth almost as much as one that has been treated to a $300,000 restoration. The highest we saw asked for an intact and excellent RPO83 Hardtop was $425,000 but during the same period a couple of ‘barn find’ wrecks both got close to $300,000.

Finding a four-door XA or XB GT in good condition isn’t hard and XB sedans remain at around $100,000. Fairmont or 500 Hardtops and the low-build Landau cost considerably less than GT versions but still routinely exceed $100,000.

EB and EL GTs from the 1990s haven’t so far built a strong collector following and probably won’t until somebody uncovers and sells a virtually brand-new example for stupendous money.
