GT-HO values are a roller coaster where one wild sale result can change the game.
Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase 1-3/XC Cobra
It’s hard to rule a line under GT-HO values and be definitive because the next car auctioned could skew the market this way or that.
Phase 3 values still rule the Australian performance car market and any significant shift will have tsunami-like consequences.
Prices paid of late have remained stable; $500,000 confirmed for a Phase 3 and the same figure reported for an exceptional Phase 2.
The possibility of owning one of the XW-based cars for less than $250K still exists.
It was only late 2016 that a good Cobra 5.8-litre was knocked down for just $100,000 but since then prices have soared.
$150K now represents realistic money for an outstanding 5.8 manual, with auto-trans and 4.9-litre cars below $120,000.
GT-HO Phase 1/2 $283,200 [5]
GT-HO Phase 3 $460,000 [3]
XC Cobra 4.9 $117,000 [2]
XC Cobra 5.8 $124,875 [4]
